Mimio Training
Great news! We have secured the services of Ali Close for a Mimio training session on Monday 30 June 1.30 - 4.00. Ali, who works for NIACE, is a big Mimio fan. I am hopeful that Gill and Maggie will be revising their 0/10 score for the poor Mimio by the end of the session. The training will take place at Quayside House. Please can you let me know if you plan to attend. By the end of the session you will be able to a) set up the Mimio with confidence and b) state how you could use it to enhance one of your sessions. I am hoping that Ali will post an introduction to the blog in the near future.

Sadly Jane, I'm on holiday :-(
That's a pity Gill, because I've just been reading your entry about flip charts, and thought that I could maybe show you some other ways of capturing data using a mimio instead . . . all you need is a wall!
My plan for the Mimio Training session is that it will be partly demonstration, but mostly hands on, so that by the end of the session, you will have (hopefully) gained a few new ideas on what you can do with the equipment, but more importantly, had the opportunity to try a few of them out yourselves so that you can (again, hopefully!) see how easy it is to use.
Currently, I am pitching it at people new to, or with limited experience of, the mimio. If, however, you are a more advanced user, or there is something specific that you want to explore within the session, please do let me know - I aim to please!
