Fi's post has prompted me to lead you to an interesting writing prompt at this blog I've had a go myself and posted my attempt on my own blog here and maybe you'd like to have a go yourself.
In the process of writing, I realise that I find it far easier to express myself by the use of colour, shape and texture than by words. But hey, it was painless and it's good to go outside the comfort zone now and again, isn't it?

Gill, it's wonderful! Both the template and your version - ah, Z Cars ... waves of nostalgia rolling onto my shores!
And the film! Fabulous. My grandad used to play the harmonica and dance to entertain the audience during the intermission of silent movies in the cinema ... and I'm just in the early stages of writing a 1920s style musical comedy 'Daughter of the Sheik', so this was a delightful surprise on an overcast Sunday morning.
Thanks!
Fi
